The 21st of June saw us bring in the Summer Solstice. What a wonderful occasion it was. For a blissful hour and a half I almost forgot the worries of the past 18 months and instead became emersed in a true celebration of nature, wellness and community. And that is what the solstice is about, marking the longest day, the light, and connecting with the rhythms of nature. A time to recognise the half year before and look towards the rest of the year ahead, letting go of what is holding you back and setting new intentions for the seasons to come.
We've all been through a lot, and to stop and recognise what we have right now, taking another step closer to reconnection and coming together safely in nature, was just the tonic I needed, I'm sure others felt the same. If we've learnt anything in the last 18 months, it's been that life is precious, no one is immune and also no one is alone, or at least shouldn't be. So what is your intention for the next 6 months? What are you going to let go of? And what idea are you going to nurture and see grow? To borrow the words of Mary Oliver " Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"
